WHEN Operation Black Vote director Simon Woolley received an angry email by a British National Party voter - who wrote that he would never vote for an ‘ethnic candidate’ - Woolley replied. What followed was an exchange of emails in which Woolley appealed to the BNP supporter to look beyond his racial hatred. Here are extracts of the fascinating conversation.
----- Original Message ----- As a white, Christian, employed, professional, middle-aged male, were I to vote for the party which I believe best supports my interests of the demographic to which I belong i.e. an extreme right wing one, as usual I would hysterically be described as a ‘racist’. I will NEVER vote for an ethnic candidate since it gives my tacit approval, endorsement and legitimacy to the concept of multiculturalism which in my opinion has done so much to destroy everything that was once great about this country and turned so many of our towns and inner cities into drug-ridden, gun-fuelled war zones. The BNP represents not merely our voice but the only hope for this nation before what little left of worth saving is finally destroyed. Long Live the BNP – the only hope for the law-abiding white majority of the UK.
From: Simon Woolley To: Anonymous BNP Voter Hi, You don't mention your name, which is sad. Mine is Simon. I was born here and I love this country which like you I regard as my country. Like you I recognise that we are living in difficult times and that things should be better. Unlike you I refuse to engage in the politics of racial hatred. It's too easy, and ultimately destroys the soul. I believe that we can work these problems through together to ensure we have a strong Britain, a proud Britain, a Britain without racial hatred. Like Dr Martin Luther King, I appeal to your goodness. Best wishes Simon
----- Original Message ----- There was a time when I, like many others, were prepared to give multiculturalism a chance. Not any more. And those with as much responsibility as anyone for creating this state of affairs are the race relations industry to which you belong. You’ve sowed the wind and shall now reap the whirlwind of white disaffection so don’t try to blame others for a situation of your own making.
From: Simon Woolley To: Anonymous BNP Voter I guess we must agree to disagree. I also suspect you will continue to hate people like me for not looking like you, particularly if we assert our right to be British. I genuinely sense you are a good man and hope that in time we might sit down and confront some of our social challenges such as unemployment, housing, and education, together, respectful of one another. Regards Simon
