Virendra Kumar Sharma was born in India 1947 and and is Member of Parliament for Ealing Southall.

He was elected as MP in the Ealing Southall by-election, held on 19 July 2007 following the death of the sitting Labour MP, Piara Khabra on 19 June 2007.
Sharma was born in India and educated at the London School of Economics. Prior to his election as an MP, Sharma was the Mayor of Ealing and had been a councillor for 25 years.

Currently, he is a local school govenor at Three Bridges and Wolf Field schools. He is also a member of the Justice Select Committe, the Human Rights Committee and is also the Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister of State at the Treasury and the Home Office.
