Pratap Chidamner Chitnis

Lord  Chitnis attended Stonyhurst College, where he earned a BA, and the University of Kansas, where he earned an MA.

Lord Chitnis has an extensive career background, to include Administration Assistant of the National Coal Board as well as Chief Executive Director of the Joseph Rowntree Social Service Trust.

He is a former member of the Community Relations Commission as well as the BBC Asian Programme Advice Committee.

He has been married to Anne Brand since 1964.
