Abayomi Bogle
Ali Siddiqui
Ali is a civil servant currently on the Fast Stream, and in his early  public service career has completed policy and project roles with the Cabinet Office, MOD and UK Space Agency. Ali is on OBV for a simple reason, to commence actively in the arena of politics and prepare to become a future MP.
Alicja Prochniak
Alicja works with various charities to help Polish minorities in the UK in areas of health, education and family support. She advocates for stronger political representation.
Annabel Omo-OviegharaAnnabel is a young and energetic girl, who isn’t afraid to show herself in the midst of a challenge. She wants to make a real change in her area through her passion for politics along with her longing dream to not be another statistic but make her mum proud!
Chanelle Myrie
Chanelle is a clinical psychologist, working in the NHS and the University of East London as a lecturer. Her research interests lie in BME mental health, and culturally appropriate models of therapy.
Charlotte Palmer
Charlotte is passionate about liberating, empowering and impacting the health and wealth of people. She describes herself as a highly dedicated, motivated clinical research professional, with strong international experience, in the clinical research industry.
Christian Weaver
Christian was called to the Bar of England and Wales in November 2016 and was awarded Nottingham Law School's highest student honour, the Vice Chancellor's Award, following his undergraduate studies.He currently works for an organisation dealing with contentious deaths in custody.

Malaika is an Interfaith Minister / Peace ambassador. She has been active in the community for many years. She teaches in personal and spiritual development, and provides speeches at bespoke weddings, baby naming, 'rites of passage' funerals and other ceremonies.
Hassaanah Amejee
Hassaanah is a TV presenter with a background in community activism and education. She is keen to raise awareness for the impact of mental health. She set up one of the UK's first faith-based Eating Disorder Support group run by those affected by the disorder.
Isschara Maxime
Isschara works for Croydon Council within PLACE department in addition to taking on a voluntary role as the Vice Chair for Croydon Council BAME staff Network. She is passionate about developing a society that positively empowers our youth, tackles the un/conscious bias within our institutions.

Maninder MangatMini was born and raised in Royal Leamington Spa, from a young age she came to realise she was different from many of her peers and she began to develop an interest in addressing and celebrating differences.
At university she decided that the topic for her dissertation was ‘Race Equality in employment’, this was very interesting and her findings almost set a foundation for her life to come.

Margaret is National Race Equality Officer for UNISON, has been an activist and community based activist for several years. One her many roles as a National Officer is to advise on race equality at all levels, including the National Executive Committee in UNISON.  The first winner of UNISON's Nelson Mandela Award for outstanding work in the fight against racism and inequality.

Matthew Johnson
Matthew is a policy analyst with a wealth of experience in both the UK and Africa. He has worked extensively with institutions in Namibia conducting research on issues such as HIV/AIDs, quality education and youth unemployment. Currently Matthew works in a highly strategic role, supporting regional labour market policy in the West Midlands.
Mercy Francis
Mercy works in marketing and filming, and has worked in journalism and as a TV presenter. Mercy has strong passion for education and excellence and promoting self belief, that anything is possible if you believe and try your best. Mercy is currently working on her own online TV station.

Mohamed is an International Lawyer who specialising in Business EEA and Citizenship with 10 years experience across Europe, Middle East and Africa.He is also a Member of The Law Society and Tech London Advocates. Mohamed enjoy working with wide variety of clients with different background and cultures.
Moonisah Iqbal
Moonisah is a recent Geography graduate with a background in student politics and campaigning on social justice issues. Moonisah was elected as the BME officer at the University of Nottingham Students' Union and worked alongside the University to tackle the BME attainment gap and campaign against the PREVENT agenda.

Peter works as a consultant in the social enterprise sector and he's currently standing to become a Labour Councillor in Peckham, in south London. Peter's interest in politics stems from his experiences growing up in Peckham and a deep belief that UK politics must become more representative if the country's long term challenges are to be addressed.

Rachel Hau-Yu Tam

Hau-Yu has worked and volunteered with Hackney Chinese Community Services, Ming-Ai (London) Institute, Southwark Group of Tenants' Organisations and the Soho CCC - in various capacities. She is primarily interested in stories and patterns of migration, violence, conflict; loss and love; the histories and politicisations of law and development; languages and creativity; education.

Salma Arif

Salma is a young and dynamic Labour councillor in Leeds. She has been an active participant in her community from her teenage years. She believes you have to be the change you want to see and has a go get attitude towards life. She is the co-chair of Nisa-Nisham Leeds, which encourages women from Muslim and Jewish communities to engage and challenge misconceptions.

Sangeetha Wynter

Having graduated with a teaching degree, Sangeetha is enthusiastic about inspiring and empowering the next generation. Her passion with politics began at secondary school and developed with the last general election, where she galvanised other young people to vote. Sangeetha works as an advocate for young people, and volunteers for a charity and as a sports coach.

Satwinder Sandhu

Satwinder was born and raised in Warwickshire. Trained as a social worker, he currently oversees operations at The Homefinding & Fostering Agency. He has a passion for ethics driven politics that has high impact. As a black, gay man, activism around equality and diversity issues has always been a strong focus in his life.

Serena is the co-founder and director of Conscious Youth, an award-winning social enterprise in West Yorkshire. She is also a part time lecturer at the University of Huddersfield teaching social policy and community development. In 2017 she was awarded for her 'most significant contribution to the community' by Kirklees council.

Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, a member of the London Ambitions Advisory Board and was a Trustee Board member of the ACEVO.  Simon is passionate about social justice, equality and social mobility and believes in the transformative potential of education and a positive frame of mind.

Tola is the co-founder of Refugees Welcome Portugal and a Mercator Fellow, who is passionate about the integration of refugees.Tola has just finished a Master´s degree in Human Rights and Cultural Diversity from the University of Essex where he was awarded the Deborah Fitzmaurice Prize for the best MA Student.

Yewande is an interdisciplinary scholar and activist with research interests in social movements, oral history and historiography.
