My name is Asha, I am 25 years and old I currently work in local government. I have professional and educational background in Law, Student Activism, Advocacy, Political Campaigning and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and I am very passionate about social justice.
I joined the Youth Advisory Board because I strongly believe in intergenerational collaboration in activism. It is vital that we integrate more young voices into political spaces and it is privilege to be part of a space where our ideas and skills can be nurtured and mentored by more mature and experienced professionals/activists.
I’m proud to be part of a legacy that amplifies people of colour in politics and I am looking forward to working with other young people and bringing their thoughts and perspectives into a space where change can be made.
